I took over the journal in September 2007. The previous editor - Gerry Calvasina - graciously "cleared the
decks" of almost all submissions that were in the publication pipeline before handing off to me. The problem
that this has presented for me over the last 13 months is how to get together a set of completed works to form
a complete volume. My experience is that some authors need a bit more time. For this reason, Volume 9 will be split
into 2 issues. Volume 9 # 1 appeared in October, and Volume 9 # 2 will appear in December. Both issues will
be somewhat smaller than past volumes, but together Volume 9 will be on the large side. I expect production
to be smoother next year, so that Volume 10 appears in a single issue.
